just saw that the album leaked and is on soulseek. anyone managed to get it yet?

i got the new whirlwind heat and enjoyed it though.

i picked up a copy at easy street when i was in seattle, naomi was so jealous she didn't see it first, they have surpased SY as her favorite band

i love how their sound has matured since sara left, not a single bad song on there,

Crusing, Hotel Suidcide, Tax Dollar, and Rider are fucking amazing

so far the best album of the year even beating out Pink by Boris, the only ones that i think that can take that title away that are still to come are possibly bardo pond or to live in shave in la (maybe les georges leningrad, but they aren't the most album orriented)

Shit, i'll probably have to wait 'till the release date to get it on vinyl. But now i'm excited, i hope i can see them again sometime soon. I wish they weren't opening for the gossip on this upcoming run of stores, it should be the other way around! (although i do enjoy the gossip)

The new album's out already? I thought it was coming in August. At any rate, it's totally great! Best thing they've done by miles and miles, I think! The strong, fluid rhythm section and Jenny's powerful pipes are still the strongest features of the band, but Jenny's guitar is a big upgrade over the one-fingered Mary-Had-a-Little-Lamb-level guitarwork of the four-piece E.E. unit, and it makes the band sound so much more complete.

As I expected when I heard this album was being recorded at the Loft in Sacramento with Chris Woodhouse, I knew this was gonna sound awesome. From the first track--"Cruising"--there is totalitarian bass-drum oppression, and guitars are grinding and coiling and striking in all directions like it's Erin from the A Frames on a pissed off bender. But the vocals are still so pure and beautiful.

unofficialy, i picked mine up in the used bin, what i think happened was they get promo copies and they lend them out to people who want to listen to them in the store, someone put in the used bin, put a 7 dollar tag on it and boom, naomi is jealous of me

Yeah I've seen them once and liked them, but I haven't listened to them in awhile. If I go I'll just go to the Baltimore show instead of driving down to DC.

Been jamming all 3 albums recently, love this band a lot. Their facebook page says they're working on new material -- well, they have been since November supposedly, with sound artist Christina Files..

they invited me to a party when I saw them open for SY.
