Sonic Youth and the UK Indie chart.
 

Out of interest I checked to see how well the band fared in their Indie days, and not surprisingly their output dominated the UK Indie chart. Here's the lowdown. The first number is the chart position. The second is the number of weeks in the chart. The date is the entry. :)

ufff, hehehe, sonic death on 3rd. for nine weeks? I mean, it not really easy listen unless you're really into SY.

It reached No. 9 and remained in the charts for 7 weeks. It's an easy mistake to make as I haven't put it all together very well.

The band have a history in the UK Indie charts to be envied. All their singles and three albums making the top 5. Two of those albums at No. 1. They really took the UK by storm in their Indie days. :)
