Alice Cooper

I saw that decrepit motherfucker last night for free at the Taste of Minnesota. He played alright. He played "Is it My Body" which was a treat. Sonic Youth did it better though.
Have you ever seen his stage show? It is pretty wierd. The motherfucker comes out of a coffin, and gets beheaded and all sorts of shit. He does a little S+M dance with his daughter too.

I had a chance to go see him. I decided to sit at home instead.
The only song of his I really know is School's Out.
S&M dance with his daughter!?
I thought he was a sunday school teacher or some bullshit.

Isoflurane 07.01.2006 03:18 PM

I don't know about the sunday school thing.
But yeah. His daughter comes out with these whips and they grind for a little while. We only knew it was his daughter because the girl we were with was her friend. She lookes kind of skanky.

the same people that paint ducks for postage stamps...like the fictional character of Norm Gunderson, maybe?

But hey, Alice Cooper was playing for free.

HaydenAsche 07.01.2006 06:07 PM

Ahh. I sure as hell don't go.

Dali was a fan.

Unfortunately, all the best pictures of it (which I posted at the old board along with some pics of Alice & Dali, are no longer on the internet.)

after hearing about his stage show, this confirms how awesome jim henson was to have him on. i'm sure there must have been people who hated him and henson threw him on a children's show. love it.

funky seventies welcome to my nightmare...i think i remember seeing this...(I suppose probably when it first aired)
Sesame Street is a great one too (which is still on, but not as much) & The Muppet Show was very funny & had some good guests too. Some station, maybe TBS, used to play the reruns a few years ago.

Alice Cooper is fun. One of the first rock albums I heard in its entirety was Billion Dollar Babies which my uncle let me borrow probably ten years ago. I have my own copy now, as well as others of his. I really enjoy Love It To Death. He's a lot of fun. Remember when he was in the Wayne's World movie? That was hilarious.

Daycare Nation 07.02.2006 01:23 AM

I don't remember your uncle in Wayne's World.
