Holidayyyyyyys

I'm finally in holidays three days in advance thanks to swine flu (I ain't got it myself, but there were 56 persons in the whole prep school who got it, so the prefect decided to close the school).
So yeah. How's everyone? I haven't been on there as much as usual lately because of too much work.

You haven't missed much...

SYRFox 10.22.2009 07:48 AM

Not even 34 new Scissor Shock / Robe. / films ? Damn!

(just kiddin!)

atsonicpark 10.22.2009 07:52 AM

Hmph.

SYRFox 10.22.2009 07:52 AM

Oh also, as I said in the beatenist thread I've finally bought my synth (Alesis Micron) and really really enjoy it.
Also, I've just bought a bunch of cds on amazon:

Autechre - Untilted
Broadcast - Tender Buttons
Clark - Body Riddle
Flying Lotus - Los Angeles
J Dilla - Donuts
HEALTH - Get Color
Micachu - Jewellery
Mise En Abyme - Jesquibel
Mouthus - Slow Globes
Nosaj Thing - Drift
Oneida - Rated O
Risil - Non Meters, Vol 1

Still want to get Dorian Concept's When Planets Explode, which is probably the album that struck me the most this year (though of course, Animal Collective stays #1 for me ...), but it seems it's not available in France yet.

My two friends who had swine flu have both told me that it causes headaches which make you hallucinate. Fun!

Has anybody on this board been infected yet?

That is great to hear, about early holidays.

I don't have swine flu.. I did have a flu of sorts, but I doubt it was the pig kind. Still a little chesty and lots of asthma but, overall, not too shabby.

The weather is nice.

glad you could stop by. Will you be visiting more now?

SYRFox 10.23.2009 07:37 AM

Yeah, I have two weeks to rest so I'm going to enjoy them :D
I'm seeing Dälek + Oddatee, and then Clark + Hudson Mohawke tonight, I just can't wait!

someone in my family currently has it and it doesn't really look that fun, apparently she has difficulties to breathe... But it's not that dangerous either.

Not really, as I'm still a student I don't really get paid proportionately to my work. That said, as I'm now a prep school student I get some money every month, which is neat, though a part of it is dedicated to what I have to buy for my studies of course...

You're welcome! I really enjoy them as well. I didn't know them when I first saw them and I found them really cool; then I saw them once more opening for Sister Iodine and it was even better. Two of the members are actually teachers in the school I was in last year! You should also check out Tardigrades from the Et Pourtant Ca Avait Bien Commencé label, he's really awesome too

SYRFox 10.24.2009 04:19 AM

Damn Dälek, Clark and Hudson Mohawke blew my mind so much. They were awesome. I do not regret staying up until 3am to see Clark playing

terriblecanyons 10.24.2009 04:21 AM

I've had two friends out with "the swine" as everyone's calling it. Ugh.
Either way, I've heard nothing of hallucinations, just generally being miserable.
