Famous Movie Scream - Need your help folks

I've seen many movies including the Wilhelm Scream and I've also heard about the Kyle Scream which originated in the video game "Dark Forces" but there's another movie scream I recognized quite often. Well, I heard it quite a few times but atm I can only think of one movie that used it. This movie was "Session 9". It is a male scream, quite deep voice, a bit distorted. I think it also originated in a video game but I don't know which one.

well as far as screams go there is a good one on further down the spiral and also the original psycho but i dont know what you are on about anyway

Yeah, the Psycho-Scream truly is one of the most memorable ones. The one I'm looking for has been used in ads, TV-shows, movies etc...

I'm really interested in different kinds of sound effects so I want to find out what this one is called.

seriously if you are interested in sound effects, you need to read the book about the guy who did the star wars ones, he changed the face of foley sound for ever.

And didnt Star Wars include the Wilhelm?

the guys that did the matrix foley also did some amazing stuff, 46 mics for one car crash sound awesome stuff. but it is amazing how many sounds they got from those 46 channels of audio. time alignment is a bitch though. i did a show a while ago that needed a whip crack and all of the ones on sfx discs sounded like shit so i recorded some new ones with a stockman. i used eight mics and the time alignment wasn't huge but it was time consuming and getting the right mix was also time consuming, but i got it to sound massive. i did one show where i used 41 channels of fx for the opening sequence and approx 6 hours of music and fx, the show had 8 hours of material for the actors. won 4 awards for it. foley in a pet hate but it is part of my job so i do it as best i can.
