Oh.. so bad sweater parties are a common thing? A co-worker of mine was going to one after work one night before Xmas. I remember thinking "that's a fun idea."

He ended up wearing a cute teal Winnie the Pooh sweater, that wasn't so much ugly as it was something a soccer mom would wear instead of a hulking college boy.

I am probably going to throw an ugly sweater party for my birthday.

It isn't what I'd ideally like to do, but given the constraints of idiot parents, this seems like a fun alternative.

For some reason we borrowed loud dj speakers from a friend, have a candy-buffet, and made a cake shaped like a couch.

I can't form mental pictures so since I've scrolled down to the bottom of this thread I have no idea what an ugly sweater looks like.

I thought indie rock shows generally qualified as ugly sweater parties.
