What good thing did you do recently?
As in morally redeeming, nice, kind, gentle, etc.
I gave a dollar tip today at S'bucks for my mocha. |
how is that morally redeeming?
i bet you wanted the girl to remember you-- oh yeah you did. but it'll take more than a buck :( |
i helped an old lady get off the train and gave two tourists directions to something in the city.
|
I haven't left my house in a week.
I guess that's morally redeeming. |
No, morally redeeming is just one example of a category a good thing can fall into.
Mine falls more into just "nice." Although one could argue that I really wasn't doing them a favor. By supporting the tip system, do I support a corporate policy of underpaying employees? On the other hand, if I didn't tip something, I'd look like an unappreciative jerk. Being nice can be complicated. |
i slept all afternoon. that was something nice.
as for something good-- i signed up to do phone bank w/ the obama campaign this weekend. now of course i actually have to show up. but it's a start... |
What about doing nothing? Sometimes I think the least harmful thing we can do is stay inside our abodes and "just be."
|
wanked off.

Every morning I do things to help my wife wake up and face the new day.
I make the coffee and pour her a cup with just the right amount of cream. I press her clothes if she needs something ironed. I work out with her during Gilad--I used to do my own routine at a different time until one morning I saw her working out and it seemed so lonely, and she tells me this has made a difference to her in keeping at it. I also pack her lunch. I don't do these things because she demands them but because I truly want things to be better for her. Actually, though, I think she'd get pissed if I stopped doing any of this--especially making the coffee. |
Contributed to this country economy by buying cigs. And then smoking them.
|
I brought the laundry in for my mom because it started to rain and I put it in the dryer.

Well, it was either that or wanking off like Don Knotts on PCP. Hmm, maybe the wanking thing would've been better after all... |

You man whore. |
i crawled underneath a table to get a dollar for an old lady that she had dropped.
i also helped another with her walker. i didn't yell at the honda service man. |
I donated the fuck out of some orphanage
|
I helped out a woman at the train station, she didn't know which train she had to take. I know, I'm the modern hero.
