Oh yeah I saw this. It's amazing, very strange. I wonder what they the think the plane is.

I laughed at this comment: "Mystery: The tribespeople are likely to think the plane that took this photograph is a spirit or large bird."

Psh, they obviously think it was a kind of dragon.

Oh I saw it on msn not in the bloody daily mail or is that an American paper with the same name?

posted about this earlier today... it's fascinating to think that even in this age there are still about 40 isolated tribes left in that area alone (brazil-peru) and about a hundred worldwide. authentical but oh so vulnerable, may they be left alone forever.

one thing i find really impressive is that in Papua New Guinea which probably have a couple of tribes of their own that are isolated have over 800 indigenous different languages spoken on the island, and haven't died out due to the prevelance of english or the other more widely spoken languages of the island

and i have wondered if there were many if any left in the world, outside of the amazon where would they be found?

The orange guys led a MASSIVE boycott of the original Gene Wilder Willy Wonka movie for its portrayal of orange tribesmen as happy slaves who enjoyed chanting and choreographed tumbling in a crude caricature of their beloved sacred dances.
