I half-agree. It's a really uneven record, parts are sheer brilliance, but a good half of the record is some of the most forgettable music to come out of the CBGB's crowd.

i love that album. robert quin had such an amazing style. kind of like ribot but with the power of skronk.
amazing songs whether they be pure punk, or perfect pop.

The album fucking sucks. half of it is pure boring 50's rock wanna be bullshit, BORING as all sweet fuck. There are 4 decent songs and 2 great songs. that ratio means SUCK_ASS ALBUM

This is a good record, Rob. Keep it. Even if you hate it now. Later you might not. Then you'll have to buy it all over again.

On the other hand, I think Metal Circus is boring. Much more boring than Blank Generation.

I think "Love Comes in Spurts" is an all time classic, and the title track is certainly an essential punk rock statement. Some of the rest is a tad dull. Punk rock was often a singles music, and some groups probably shouldn't have done full albums.

The album I think you should buy next time, Rob, is Cyborgs Revisited by Simply Saucer. It's on vinyl on the Get Back label.
