SNL goes old school with host Julia Louis-Dreyfus & musical guest Paul Simon tonight
She is, to her surprise, the first female former cast member to return to host the show.
“How's it possible that Gilda (Radner) or Jane (Curtin) or all of these people didn't host,” she said. “For some reason they didn't, and here I am.” Well, Lorne Micheals is supposed to be a bit of a dick. In case you didn't know, Julia is married to fellow SNL-alum Brad Hall. They appeared in one of the earlier episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm together. Also, her "porn name" is Pippi Park. Paul Simon's new album, Surprise, features Mr. Brian Eno on electronics by the way; I haven't heard it yet. |
Sweet.
SNL is pretty good, but 50% of it, most of the time, is garbage. Have you seen Julia's knew show? Chritine something or other.... It is just awful. |
I'm debating whether or not I should stay up. I have to wake up at five in the morning for work.
|
I wouldn't...
You'd stay up for a couple of giggles and then feel like hell in the morning. |
thats true. I have seven hours until I have to wake up. This happened last time. Got five hours of sleep then worked for more than ten hours doing roof labor work in the sun.

He's also a lazy bastard that doesn't seem to care about SNL anymore. There will be like 3 episodes (which pretty much suck other than Weekend Update and a Horatio sketch) in a row and then they'll be like "We'll be back in 3 months with Lindsay Lohan and some shitty band." They are obviously stuggling for writing which also contributes to the lack of episodes I'm guessing too. Amy should just bring in all the guys from Upright Citizens Brigade to write the show. |

I agree, we need another good sketch comedy show on television. |
on the commercial for this episode i thought paul simon was yoda. he wasnt looking too good.
i heard one song off of it and it was kind of lame. sounded like paul simon but with a forced modern day production-ie non 80s but 2000 sounding drum machines etc... |
Anyone else not a huge Eno fan? I'm not saying he's bad, but I find it hard to listen to music that is just a bunch of soundscapes.
I do like the Talking Head's Eno stuff though, and I like David Bowie's Lodger, because he isn't pushing his sound onto Bowie's as much as on Low and Heroes in my opinion. |
Im not a huge fan. When I first heard of him I liked it a lot more.

Yeah, she has gotten more attractive with age. |
"Most teenagers that sign a virginity plege lose it within the next 12 months...if I'm on my game"

Is that a quote from her?
