where's the subpop 7" ?
Wasn't there supposed to be a new Subpop 7" single coming out sometime in 2007? I can't remember the deal now.
I think it was announced to be released a year ago, actually. I think it was named "Creamsicle" or something like that. Don't know much about it, anyway
if there ever comes more info on that one then it will be found either in the national enquirer or in a post from moshe.
Creamsicle! That's right. I do remember that now.

Will I ever be forgiven for that mistake? :) The 7" never happened. I was misinformed about it. |
Who provided the disinformation? I mean, was "creamsicle" a real song or...?
It was listed on brainwashed.com upcoming releases.
Have you seen that amazon has "Live At Royal Albert Hall" listed as a Sonic Youth release... but if you click on it, it's a Who album instead? But then allmusic and lastfm, etc have it listed as a SY album from 2003?
It is just sonic youth playing with Pete Townshend. I didn't like that release.

you are long forgiven for that, sir! ... but not forgotten. |

You're saying there's an album where they are his backing band for the entire performance? How did I miss that? |
Got you! I was only joking. :) :) :)
Ah! What a jerk!
See? More disinformation. No, but the one I was talking about was this one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Live_at...e_Who_album%29 and for some reason it pops up on different discographies as being a Sonic Youth album, rather than a Who album. |
Yeah. We were very exited about it in the old forum when we heard about it. It is just a mistake.
To be fair, many people would probably say "The who?" whenever you mention The Youth though.
i thought this whole sub pop single thing was a joke
wasn't one of Thurston's sides from that Men Who Can'r Love et al vinyl box thing entitled Creamsicle?
When I first went online a couple of years back, the first thing that grabbed me in regards to Sonic Youth was the constant listing of this Live at The Royal Albert Hall release. I had never heard of it, and every time I tried to get some background on it, it brought me only a dead end. I've never been properly filled in as to what it's all about, or how this title came to be associated with the band in the first place...

yeah that pissed me off too. i use to work at a record store in key west, and in our inventory it always had that royal albert hall album listed... but we could never order it or find out any info on it at all. they really should clear that up, how could it still be on the web and in inventory lists if it's wrong?
