How do Mac people turn wav files into mp3s?

I use YAAC 1.0

1. Drag and drop the file you want to convert into the window.
2. Choose the format you want in the pulldown menu.
3. Convert.

Easy peasy.

I don't know, but I think I might be making the switch to Mac soon. :eek:

You can do it in itunes no problem.

The only thing that should be intimidating about Macs is the price, and the mac-mini alieviates that problem (however it doesn't solve the fact the laptops are still more expensive.) Seriously, the whole point of the design is for it to be easy to use and intuitive right out of the box.

The only people who hate Macs who I don't have an argument against are the people who like to build systems and sometimes even hardware for themselves from the ground up. Of course most of them use Linux, which to me is intimidating just because I'd rather not think that much about my OS and how it's put together.

nowadays linux is not that scary. look at ubuntu, etc.

I'm only getting a mac because I hate my old 'puter.

if the mac doesn't make my video game look absolutely stunning, I'm tossing it out the window (but not the giant fucking 79" monitor that I want to go with it).

I got a Macbook today. My pc broke four months ago (thus haven't posted here much. Oh, what a loss...), so I wanted to try a mac. I'm surprised I haven't had to think my ass off how to install cable modem etc... but I'm sure I'll have to face that situation at some point.

I hope everyone is well. Hoping to post a bit more these days if I can stop being crap.

Yeah iTunes can do it, but its library management makes it a royal pain.

I'd go for Max which is wonderful, wonderful conversion freeware. You can set up conversion profiles and just choose from the list you make. You can also add metadata.

Leopard users can also download the unstable version, which is working a treat for me on 10.5.1. The 'stable' release crashes on Leopard.

I'm expecting to see crashes after I've gotten the CS3 package and start abusing the system with complex wireframe vector blends. Haa!

You'll have to try harder than that to crash your babe.

i use macs live on stage all the time and never had any issues, when i used to use windows based laptops on stage i did have issues....
