Damn Pan's Labyrinth was depressing
I'm feeling pretty somber about now.
|
It was.
But I liked it. |
It was beautiful. But I want someone to hold me now.
|
So falsely advertised and the fantasy scenes - the few that were there - were all spoiled in the ads and reviews. What's the big deal? Maybe a second viewing is what I "need".
|
it had some cool sets, but i didn't thnk it lived up to the hy[e
|
I loved this movie.
|
is that the movie with david bowie?

In our dreams, yes. |
I saw it on the same night as I did Children of Men (theater hopping is always fun) and I prefered Children of Men.
But Pan's Labyrinth was okay although I do agree that there wasn't as much fantasy as I expected or hoped for. |

ahh i see, thanks.. |

I don't really pay attention to advertisements. |

children of men has more flash value, but it's ultimately less interesting and more predictable, yet-another dystopian fable with apocalyptic/religious overtones (baby jesus). pan's labirynth is not "okay", it's **fucking wonderful.** and a true original. |
I think both Pan's Labyrinth and Children of Men are both standouts from Latin American directors.
Vive Mexico. |

si sen~or. the mexicans are kicking ass these days. add Babel for the trifecta. |
Babel made me want to crawl into bed.
But I agree, I'm interested in seeing more from all three. |
