Who've You Voted For?

If you're too young to vote, just say who you would've voted for. And spare us your theories about why voting is pointless--I don't give a shit.

2000:
The first year that I could vote and I didn't vote. If I had voted I would probably have voted for Nader. In hindsight, however, I wish I had voted for Gore.

2004: I voted for Kerry.

In 2000, similarly, I voted for Nader, but wish I had voted for Gore.

In 2004 I voted for Badnarik. Don't anybody start that bullshit about taking away Democratic votes, or I'll hurt you.

3x1minus1 04.28.2006 06:13 PM

i voted for gore. i voted for kerry. sigh.

noumenal 04.28.2006 06:13 PM

You're going to hate me for this, but I prefer the truly conservative Republicans (not the neo-cons) over the Libertarians.

to young to vote, but next time...

1996 i went with my mother to vote and they had a little play area for kids and lets us pretend vote. i voted clinton.

2000 i was in 5th grade and i wanted bush to win, at school we did a mock vote where we were told something about the canidates and voted based on that. i voted bush because he loved dogs and gore liked cats, bush also liked nachos. (and gore seemed really weird to me, acually he still does. bush just seemed like a cooler guy to hang out with)

2004 i would have voted for david cobb

qprogeny79 04.28.2006 06:19 PM

mmiv: kerry. probably a stupid decision in hindsight, but it was like choosing between rape and armed robbery.

2004 - David Cobb

It'll take a hell of a lot to get me to vote for a Republican or a Democrat. Thinking about voting Libertarian in '08.

atari 2600 04.28.2006 07:02 PM

Presidential ballots:

2000 - I voted & worked as a volunteer for Nader/LaDuke; I also should have voted for Gore/Lieberman.

2004 - Kerry/Edwards

jheii 04.28.2006 07:04 PM

I see a lot of people saying they should've voted for Gore in 2000... any particular reason?

Glice 04.28.2006 07:29 PM

In my family, we don't tell each other who we voted for. It's considered most impolite.

WOW!! That's kind of headfuck for me because I graduated in 2000 (class of 2000 holla), but oh well their are quite a few heads on here that are older than me.

Anyway, I voted for Gore and Kerry.

golden child 04.28.2006 08:00 PM

i was in 5th grade that year also! i would've voted for bush. but in retrospect i shouldn't have. i dont prefer libbies over conservetive types, and it pisses me off when people vote for someone just because of their political party. but anyway, this past election i wouldve went with nader

golden child 04.28.2006 08:18 PM

i watched the news alot and still do, i remember in the news reports talking about nader. i asked my teacher "isnt there another guy?" i had no idea about his political ideals or standings i just was wondering about him, the teacher said there is another guy but they arent including him in it. i probaly would have voted for him just so i could be different and stick it to the system (i was a bitter 5th grader)

but he wasnt, so i went with bush

last year at my school everyone voted in a pretend pole. and to no ones suprise... bush won

while we're on politics.

wow . . . fake polls. i remember waaayy back in 2nd grade we did a poll to see who would win in the 1992 race . . . i voted ghw bush, and to this day i have no idea why. then a couple months later a really hellish tv was brought in (black and white, really fuzzy, no cable) to watch clinton's 1st inaugural, about which i remember nothing. i dunno -- i was 7. seems like kind of a stupidly young age to start getting people into politics.

krastian 04.28.2006 11:09 PM

I remember voting for Dukakis in the Weekly Reader poll for 1988 when I was 6. He didn't look as mean as Bush.

samuel 04.29.2006 10:07 AM

I would have voted for Bush the past two elections if I were old enough. I can vote in 2008. How exciting.

!!!!

Me too.

I've decided not to vote again unless I really believe in one of the candidates.
