What shall I do this evening?

What would be the best thing for me to do this evening?

nicfit 04.18.2007 09:05 AM

Well, you could listen to the radio while cycling/gardening.

fishmonkey 04.18.2007 09:06 AM

i vote gardening, i did the garden last night before the Man U match and i tell ya it put me in right good mood, made me a little thirsty also which came in handy as i was downing them 6 cans of Heineken that were winking at me from the fridge.

maybe have the footy on the radio in the background as you do the garden?

floatingslowly 04.18.2007 09:15 AM

you left off the option "party like it's 1999"....so I couldn't vote. :(

Oh yes, definitely.

I bought my ticket for the home leg of the Champions League semi-final this morning, by the way.

It's a couple more days before I'll know about the F A Cup final, but I should think I'll be able to get a ticket.

nick2767 04.18.2007 10:21 AM

well, you could pop down the pub on your bike and watch the match there. possible upset on the cards tonight I reckon?!

sonicl 04.18.2007 10:29 AM

I'm afraid you could be right: West Ham is the sort of team we can usually be relied upon to slip up against. It's the sort of match that I get very frustrated watching in the pub, so I prefer to listen to it on the radio.

king_buzzo 04.18.2007 10:44 AM

Gardening, because its rad

Cardinal Rob 04.18.2007 11:18 AM

Gardening, or more specifically, avant-gardening.

krastian 04.18.2007 11:31 PM

Gardening At Night!!!!

SynthethicalY 04.19.2007 12:44 AM

Ah you Europeans and STRANGE customs.

sonicl 04.19.2007 02:59 AM

I gardened - cutting back some ivy to be precise.

I was going to go in and listen to the football on the radio as well, but it got dark so late that I'd missed the entire first half before I realised it was time for me to go in and have my tea.

SynthethicalY 04.19.2007 03:06 AM

It sounds like you had a pleasant evening, sir sonicl.

sonicl 04.19.2007 03:10 AM

I never used to be a big fan of gardening, but it's something I now have to do, and it's growing on me. The garden in our new house is so overgrown that I can go mad cutting stuff back and get to see a result quite quickly, so it feels quite rewarding. I've been banned from flower beds though, for fear that I will pull up more flowers than weeds.

SynthethicalY 04.19.2007 03:12 AM

I never have done any gardening. Since I never lived in a house. What is it like to live in a house?

sonicl 04.19.2007 03:21 AM

Much the same as living in a flat (an apartment), except there are stairs and a garden. More room to move about in, I guess.

It sounds silly, I know, but after six years of living in a flat, one of the most exciting things about moving to a house was actually going upstairs to go to bed, rather than just moving to another room.

SynthethicalY 04.19.2007 03:26 AM

Ah pretty soon I will be living in a home. But it is one floor.
