I have three of your holy grails.
Two of mine are bootleg LPs with great sounds and killer performances: Darkside - Psychedelicise Suburbia Loop - red Italian bootleg (I got the CD of this when it came out, then saw the 2xLP version a week later and couldn't afford it; I've been kicking myself ever since) Overhang Party's 1st LP as well, but I can never afford it on the rare occasions it comes up for sale. |
D'you know, a few years ago I'd've had a list as long as your arm (knowing, of course, how alarmingly long your arms are). Now, I can't think of a single one. I'm really rather happy about that.

Banana Leaf/Parrot Polynesia/Cannibal Papaya/Saboten/Burning Farm/Parallel Woman/An Angel Has Come/Spider/I Am a Realist/Voice of Crane/Tortoise Brand Pot Cleaner's Theme/Planet X/Summertime Boogie/Miracles their first ever release, limited to 70 copies (50 in the original press, then a second run of 20 before the band ordered it stopped). i check ebay for this every day; the only time i have seen it up for sale is on gemm.com, where a supposed near-mint copy is being offered up for $632.50. i would pay a maximum of $300 for it as of right now...if 6 months from now it was still available at the current price, i'd pay that. don't look at me that way. |

i aim very low, there's like 10 000 albums i'd love to have but i don't keep a list for them, i've scored a few without much expectation and i think that helps.
i kick myself for not picking gn'r's appetite for destruction with the original cover but, then again, i like the second cover better. |
