I'm sure you've all been watching Linda Thorson (Tara King) in Emmerdale.

And I'm sure you all heard of the sad death of TV has-been, Gareth Hunt.

So which of Steed's companions did it for you?

Emma Peel. I believe she did it for me, and thats only because I let her.

I don't know Emmerdale or Gareth Hunt, but I'm just going to guess that neither of the other options are/were anywhere near as foxy as Diana Rigg.

Linda Thorson played Tara King (Emma Peel's replacement) and is now in British TV soap opera, Emmerdale:



Gareth Hunt played Mike Gambit in The New Avengers, and died last month:

His face looks familiar and I just checked his profile at IMDB to see where I might know him from, but I can't think of anything. May he rest in peace.

The only Avengers episodes I've seen were always with Diana Rigg. It's always the same series that get rebroadcast every few years. I don't think the New Avengers ever made it to TV here. Tara doesn't beat Emma on looks so I'll stand by my vote.

I always preferred Tara King, but that was at least partly because the episodes she was in were the best.

And I also found her sexier than Diana Rigg, and if you're basing your views on the picture I provided, bear in mind she's 60 in that picture!

Gareth Hunt did little after The New Avengers other than coffee commercials.

I think Tara King is way sexier than Emma Peel physically, but the character of Emma Peel is the most appealing to me overall. Plus, you have to admit Diana Rigg was no slouch in the looks department either, especially in that Hellfire Club episode!
I like Diana Rigg better in black and white than in color.
Mrs. Gale was OK, but I don't think the show was quite as good early on.

I cannot believe how much fetishistic content they managed to sneak into that show.

Tara King suited the later episodes because they were sillier (which I liked) and she was very cute.

And as much as I like Diana Rigg, I never found her sexy. When she wore that bondage stuff, it was like the first time you realise your parents actually have sex together. Made me feel a tad uncomfortable.

... which makes it suddenly a lot harder to choose. But like I said I've never seen her in the series itself so I can't tell if she normally looked more like the first or second picture.

Indeed. I liked those episodes too, and it is strange to see how many fans reacted negatively to her character and to that last season.
The weirdest character in the last season was "Mother's" blonde attendant, who never spoke.


I can see that. I never really felt the hotness from her either, but the character overall was more appealing to me.
I didn't have that problem with the bondage outfit though. That was awesome.
The chastity belt in the "Murdersville" episode was more like you described for me.
