I served Kim Gordon popcorn at work
A couple weeks ago.
I was too nervous to say anything, and I didn't really know what to say nonetheless. I tried to play it off like I didn't know who she was. She probably didn't notice or care. Anyway, I felt like it was a worthy enough experience to post in this thread. |

nice. I have never even had the chance to interact in any way with my skronk goddess.
I have met and conversed with Lee and Steve tho. Cool mafks |
I have met Kim once, asked her for picture with me, but I was star struck as fuck and could not say much, haha, just nice to meet you and stuff.
|
I met her once too. She didn't seem to be in a very good mood.

Did you fall for it? |
We only had regular (slightly salted popcorn. She said she wanted "a little bit" of butter after I asked though.

Sweet popcorn like we have in the uk isn't a thing in the states, i discovered, when i tried to buy sweet and salted mix at a "movie theater" and the staff looked at me like i was some kind of unintelligible embarrassment

You can get that kind of a mix in Chicago (Chicago-Style) - but it's caramel and cheddar... so savory and sweet, but not salty and sweet (closest thing I can think)... though I have noticed adding candy to popcorn is becoming a thing in Canada (M&Ms in popcorn, for example). (Alright - this is WAY off topic LOL) |
My country is a stupid one that copies everything in the worst possible way, so I wouldn't be surprised if they now offered buttery/cheesy popcorn at local movie theaters. YECH. Historically, though, popcorn here (called "cabritas" — literally, "little goats" [?!]) had ALWAYS been ONLY caramelly.
It won't do to dream of caramel, to think of cinnamon and long for you. It won't do to stir a deep desire, to fan a hidden fire that can never burn true. I know your name, I know your skin, I know the way these things begin; But I don't know how I would live with myself, what I'd forgive of myself if you don't go. So goodbye, sweet appetite, no single bite could satisfy... I know your name, I know your skin, I know the way these things begin; But I don't know what I would give of myself, how I would live with myself if you don't go. It won't do to dream of caramel, to think of cinnamon and long for you. |
