I think maybe creating a username that doesn't give away the fact that you are in the band before registering on a board just to start a thread about yourself would have been a better "guerrilla marketing" tactic.

no seriously i was on a web page and i saw it. i was on the flaming lips friends looking at different bands and i saw this one. i wouldn't do that.
