Something in the same vein as Obesity in America, or Global Warming. I want something that isn't overdone but not too obscure.

i think any one of these is a good subject and like your idea about music pirating so i say go with that.

Someone from Defra was on the news, all puffed up with pride because the 160,000 birds would all be killed humanely. The irony of the fact that we care so much about the moment of death whilst previously alowing 160,000 birds to live in a gigantic 'biologically sealed' shed for their entire lives didn't seem to occur to her.

I think the topic should concern morally bankrupt politicians, and whether or not society has by it's refusal to object and force a change, made lies and corruption a legitmate way of life.

My impression was that the issue should be current and not ancient history.
