No Fun Fest 2009 / New York:

Merzbow has decided to cancel his entire trip to the US/Canada due to personal health concerns. (he is fine but has a chronic cough problem and is worried about traveling specially with the current flu scare.)

Is too late for us to come up with a suitable replacement, but instead we are going to extend the alloted time for both the Prurient / Kevin Drumm collaboration and the Skullflower set.Which I think is a really good solution for everyone.

See some of you in a few weeks! sand maybe the rest in September?!

last night fucking sucked, with the exception of Chris Corsano who always delivers. I was astounded by how shitty Carlos Giffoni's set was.

Tonight's lineup looks more promising.

I don't 100 % agree with Whorefrost, but yeah, lackluster too much of the
time. Graywolves were fucking terrible. Carlos' set would have been much
better if cut in half. Same for Bastard Noise.

1. Axolotl was a no show.
2. Gray Wolves were fucking weird and creepy, especially when the guy whipped his dick out and started rubbing it on the mike stand. Some ice went flying in the dudes direction, some plastic cups...
3. Xeno and Oaklander now that was weird, an 80s brit synth pop influenced group? People were very polite though.
4. Carlos was all right. maybe too bad he didnt have anyone guest with him.
5. Noveller to open the show was really good, although from that article we were led to believe her films would be projected, but they were not.
