Woah, babe! You gonna be in London?

The Stoke Newington Fest is Thurston interviewing Viv Albertine and then later talking with a guy who's written a biography of Burroughs. I think you should go to the Viv Albertine one. 'Cos I'm going to that.

Ah - just checked - Viv sold out :-(

But Burroughs not: http://billetto.co.uk/events/46253

tonight:

with support act:

evollove 06.10.2014 02:42 PM

This summer at various points: Beethoven Symphonies 1, 5 and 7 performed by Cleveland Orchestra. Later, Lang Lang playing Chopin. All for about a hundred bucks.

_tunic_ 06.12.2014 11:22 PM

Tomorrow:

Mick Harvey plays Serge Gainsbourg

He only plays a handful of shows in Europe in support of the rerelease of his tribute albums. And the one in Netherlands (Tilburg) drew so little interest that it will be in a tiny tiny theatre hall.

Toilet & Bowels 06.13.2014 05:33 AM

Tonight Carla Bozulich, tomorrow Zaimph.

I love her (carla that is) new record. In fact, i pretty much love everything she does.
Her show here in vienna a month ago was fantastic.
+ it made me quite happy that she called me "the annoying guy who doesn't like to rock". we agreed on her having a bigger penis than I do.

have fun!

Chrome next week. I didn't buy my ticket yet 'cause I'm skint at the moment. I'm hoping it won't sell out before I try to buy one.

Black Flag on June 19 in Toronto. Awesome show. This lineup is Greg Ginn, Mike Vallely, Brandon Pertzborn and Tyler Smith.

I saw the 1984 group, Greg Ginn, Henry Rollins, Kira Roessler and Bill Stevenson four times. The current incarnation is just as potent and powerful. Worth every penny.

I should have went to see a few things, but I keep missing out in various ways, at the least, I have my ticket already for Reggae Night at the Hollywood Bowl July 20..

Scheduling conflict:
Wife's connected friend invited us to big hollywood summer action blockbuster premiere, which I feel ambivalent about, but would happily attend any other night for lack of anything better and the chance will likely not come again. However: at the same time on the same night Richard Thompson (in Electric Trio format!) whom I love deeply for his past, present, future and sphere of influence is playing a free outdoor show at McArthur Park across town. Both events are free, a nice incentive as we are broke at the moment.

If your wife doesn't mind attending with just her connected friend, it's a win win as you can always see the movie in the future / DVD.

If your wife wants you at her side for the premiere as all of her friends husbands will be attending and she doesn't want to go solo......best of luck with that!
