indeed!!! that's one of my favorite albums right now |
I'm in the office, at work. I can hear the rain outside, which is nice, I can hear someone looking at things in the shop and I can hear children playing in the centre. In fact, one of them (she's three) has just come in to show me a picture she's drawn, and to tel me that she went to India on a boat last night, but she's back. I can also hear someone collecting the empty cups, so I suspect some coffee will soon be brought to me.

Further to the above post, you will be pleased to know that
a) I am indeed now the proud owner of a mug of black sugared coffee, and b) I'm streaming some tracks by Farces Wanna Mo. And I can still hear the rain. |

Huh? Univers Zero are super-trained neo-classical music conservatory severe prog guys; I see almost zero influence from these types of groups on the undisciplined, untutored freeform excursions of the likes of NNCK. I love them both though! At present, I am enjoying the Alice In Wonderland 5CD set by Randy Grief. Randy is an underappreciated talent in my book! |

Never heard of him. YOu fancy enlightening me? |

Experimental/soundcollage/soundtrack musician. This 5 CD box set was initially a series of 10" records (wish I had those), and it's a great interpretation. Fans of Nurse With Wound and bands on the Beta Lactam Ring or Robot labels will enjoy. |
Thanks for that. I'll do a google for it at home tonight, see if there's any streaming or suchlike available.
I'd recommend checking out Farces Wanna Mo. You can listen to all their stuff free online - they're an open band, lots of contributers over time, just doing stuff they like - making money isn't a part of it. Some of the lyrics are great. They're probably a bit like a striped-bare Fall, um, but different. That's not too accurate, actually. |

granted, their backgrounds are pretty different. but above all, listen to some of the straighter, more atmospheric moments in heresie and then listen to the strings on stuff like qvaris. it's not copycat shit, it's the vibe on one aspect of nnck now listening: |
