Other than playing air guitar/dancing around (by myself!), I cannot do anything while I listen to music except, well, listen. That and having a bunch of thoughts, actually. ;) As for GAS/Wolfgang Voigt, Zauberberg is my pick. |

Crass - The Feeding Of The 5000.
|
Crass - Stations Of The Crass.
I'm shocked that I somehow overlooked Crass in my decades-long search for Music That Kicks Fucking Ass. |

Well, anarcho-punk and being in the military don't necessarily mix... :D |
Good point, that.

I must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Skuj again. |
Crass - Penis Envy.

Classic Rockabilly Party on AccuRadio. A bit of a misnomer, as, in addition to fuck-you proto-Cramps trash rockabilly, there are straight-ahead R&B rockers, ballads, and novelty tunes. Which is FINE, it helps to discover or reconsider other stuff. Pickin' and choosin' from the radio in order to "customize your personal experience" is a cul-de-sac that leaves you drowning in your own shit. |
Crass - Christ, The Album.

Laguna Bollente - Discocesso
Laguna Bollente - Nord Sud Ovest Sert A couple EP from a new young italian lo-fi-"new" wave-wathever duo. Can't really pinpoint why, but I can't stop listening. No instagram, no facebook, no spotify. All their tracks are on youtube and soundcloud. a live track: Laguna Bollente - Joan Mirņ / Live Session in Tuci Nice lyrics. Simple but punchy. |
death's dynamic shroud - Live From Japan |
Afraid Of Mice - Afraid Of Mice |

That's funny. Because didn't Crass hate The Clash? |
Crass - Yes Sir, I Will.

Most bloody likely. At one point, as they were on their way to becoming one of the biggest bands in the world (that "only band that matters" crap) some people really hated the Clash - singing about "Complete Control" while being on CBS was considered a completely unacceptable paradox. And the post-punkers hated the Clash for reverting to classic styles while they were pushing things forward musically like it hadn't been done since the '60s. Me, I love the self-titled debut (UK VERSION, PLEASE; the US edition is [was? is it still in print?] an unrecognizable Frankenstein) and London Calling. |
A.R. Kane - "i". With all the shoegazin', dream-poppin', post-rockin', electronickin', trip-hoppin', and even forward-thinkin' R&B-n' and shit around here, it's rather odd (unfathomable, really) that this one hasn't been mentioned before. What an album. |
Quote:
I love that triple fucker! It ended badly though, didn't it? Cut The Crap indeed. Crass - Best Before 1984. |
Quote:
A.R. Kane were great. I find it hard to believe there hasn't been a single mention here. I'm sure someone must've mentioned it before. Anyway, good stuff and not just that album. I mean, the lush awesomeness of So Far Away was pretty much early Shoegaze incarnate. |
