I'll try try try to be there. It'll mean ditching the last night of Bestival on the Isle of Wight, Underworld or Thurston? Theres no competition.

I kind of want to go to this, except that Noise is so not my scene. However, I have confidence that Mr N is going to be quite discerning in what he programmes, so I might take a risk and go. I'll be the one at the back, covering his ears, and possibly crying.

the whole weekend is WAY MORE than just a 'noise' fest,, ton of different stuff, sound poetry, musique concrete, field recordings, free jazz, minuscule improv, bunch of weirdo tape manipulation shit, all kinds of 'experimental' stuff,, nothing i would describe as harsh noise. I would recommend you take note of some of the artists playing and just go sniff out some of their work on the interweb, you will get the idea.
plus there is always the garden and the bar!!!

what would be best way to get from dublin to brighton? checked ferries, checked ryanair, doesn't seem to be straight connection there, hope I'm wrong.

Fly to Gatwick, then get a train from Gatwick to Brighton. The train journey is about 30 minutes.

well, this is schedule that this guy posted in same thread.

he's playing sunday for SURE.. i know because i decided it to be so... the big lunk will be hanging all weekend though, so come prod him with something sharp.

oh yeah, and for anyone on a serious budget. the tickets for the weekend are CHEAP!! but i know some people might be put off having to get a hotel/hostel, but foir those of you with outdoors streak there is a campsite called Sheepcote Valley just on the outskirts of town. I know some people that are gonna be camping up there for the weekend. its about 30min walk from the venue.

Seriously excellent news, it looks like I shall dumping Amy Winehouse and Underworld for some Corsano/Moore/Nace magic then!

is Brighton big place?

Pretty big, yeah, but it's not very far from the railway station to the venue for the shows.

I hope they've looked at the Tripadvisor reviews for the place first, and that they have backup accommodation planned!

There was an item on regional news this morning about this place becoming a designated traveller or 'gypsy' area. Why I decided thats relevant to this I don't know.
