"Who Shot Paul McCartney?"--Help me remember this number

Does anyone remember a number circa 1980 that contains lines something like, "You really shot Paul McCartney / You really did your part"...?

I was only around 11 or 12 at the time this came out, and I can't remember the title or who recorded it. Can anyone help me out on this?

Yeah, and they had a "Kick Out the Jams" clue on Jeopardy! last night, but that doesn't help me solve this mystery!

i love in "IMAGINE" when Yoko and John are reading their mail and Yoko reads a letter from someone that reads, "Using an ouija board i have gained information that john's life is in danger."

Didn't McCartney die in 1968 or so? All those clues on the ablums point to this.

They had a clue about RE-ANIMATOR on Jeopardy last night. Hopefully this has all solved the case for you?

Ha ha, yeah. I still think it's bullshit. Entertaining, though.

he was barefoot on the cover of abbey road, meaning he was the corpse. john was the priest. and ringo the ditchdigger. and also paul has a hand over his head on the cover of sargent peppers which is an ancient sign of someone being dead. not to mention his patch that says OPD. (OFFICIALLY PRONOUNCED DEAD!!!!) its science.

I was thinking of recording some albums and getting people I know to get them put out as a posthumous tribute to my dead self. Y'know, like 2pac or Muslingauze, but not actually dead.

gmku 10.14.2008 12:06 PM

You've got the titles right there: Posthumous Tribute to My Dead Self, and Not Actually Dead.
