Schizophrenia

Wondered if any of you have symptoms of or are acquainted with anyone who has the disease -

I had three days of intense (frightening) hallucinations last week for no apparent reason - as I don’t use or drink or stay up late or eat Cheetos, I’m rather alarmed.

I was diagnosed last year with Schizoid personality (disorder?) and had never had anything close to hallucinations.

I’m going to dinner tonight with a friend of a friend who has schizophrenia (and multiple personalities!) - hopefully she has some insight/worthwhile experience. I’m rather cautious/skeptical around psychiatry/pharmaceuticals.

Anyone else?

ummm... what I meant to say are what songs albums bout mental illness are worth checking out?

my mum works for a schizophrenia charity called Rethink (based in the uk) so she see's and works with alot of peple who have or have had some type of schizophrenia, its more common than you think.
i had a friend as a kid who grew up to be a huge stonner, he started having hallucinations alot when he wasent stoned and he ended up stabbing himself to death in 2001 in the middle of a hallucination about people comming to kill him. very sad as he was a great guy and he was only 16 at the time and he was someone i had known since birth.

so the moral of the story is Drugs and mental illness arent a cool combination kids.

my brother is a schizophrenic. he also has bipolar disorder.

it's a really unfortinute thing for one to have. i have complete sympathy for anyone who has it.
