Yeah, I heard... I think Soup Nazi posted about this recently.

I'm digging into my Trux collection and playing some shit today in celebration.

Man, shut the fuck up.

Yeah, I guess -- if being stoked on new Royal Trux makes me Soup Nazi's lapdog, then yeah I'm his lapdog.

Sounds like new material played/captured in live performance.

In other words, it sounds fucking awesome. Like, exactly the kind of shot in the arm my rock selection needs in 2017.

STREAM-ENGINE TRUX! GET YR PLATINUM TIPS + ICE CREAM ON NPR!

Somebody call the Junkie Nurse, it's about to get messy! Royal Trux's new "LIVE" album, Platinum Tips + Ice Cream, is now streaming on NPR's First Listen!

Seeing around corners and illuminating dark recesses of rock and roll while turning them upside-out has always been the formula to Trux's success, and with Platinum Tips + Ice Cream that bitches brew is roiling in in full melt! Hear brand new versions of RTX favorites, with all their freewheeling mystery intact and just as/if not more potent than you may recall! Jennifer's shambolic and granular howl is perfectly in and out of sync with Neil's Harmolodic approach to the guitar, proving their outrageous chemistry has only metastasized over time.

Backed by an X-Team rhythm core featuring Black Bananas' Brian McKinley on bass and Tim Barnes (NYC Downtown/and everywhere) on drums, Royal Trux are "LIVE" again. Listen to Platinum Tips + Ice Cream streaming in its entirety over at NPR, and preorder the album now in advance of its June 16th release!

STREAM PLATINUM TIPS + ICE CREAM NOW!

New Royal Trux sounds good, boys and girls. Sounds good indeed.

whorefrost 06.13.2017 06:02 PM

Yes sir, I'm enjoying it too. Picked up a copy when I saw them in Glasgow last month, awesome live show too.

Toilet & Bowels 06.14.2017 05:22 PM

It was fantastic seeing them in London. They seemed to be as high as kites, and kept fucking things up but when rney bit their stride it was magic.

anyone heard the record? seems to be getting savaged a little (to be fair the kool keith track is shite, interesting but) pretty unfairly, trux doing smooth zonked rawk in a way that totally makes sense for them but doesn’t sound quite like anything they’ve done before. realllll solid stuff.

also looks like they’ve broken up again lol

Toilet & Bowels 03.24.2019 03:24 PM

Apparently they are touring in May... so we'll see how broken up they are then
