Beating up the Raiders isnt all that impressive, if Texans could have beat up the early 80s Raiders now THAT would be impressive. Indeed, even after 11 years of being one of the worst teams in football the cumulative stats STILL rank Raiders im the all-time Top Five franchises whether by total win-loss record, playoff wins, even Superbowls! Its almost sad how an entire generaton has grown up not knowing that from 1968-2003 Raiders were consistently among the best teams..

Rob Instigator 09.15.2014 04:38 PM

so funny that same guy fumbles twice though....

Texans are looking decent. that is all I asked for. we do not play a tough opponent until the Bills in week 4,

Bytor Peltor 09.15.2014 04:43 PM

Two straight games with NO turnovers......just keep doing that!

Through two weeks of the NFL season, JJ has more TD receptions than the St. Louis Rams.

SuchFriendsAreDangerous 09.15.2014 04:48 PM

It was a funny fumble, Raiders making classic Chargers mistakes out there, indeed Chargers recovered four fumbles yesterday, uncharacteristically THREE were their own! As to Texans, they can shit on the Raiders when they've won a superbowl or three ;)

SuchFriendsAreDangerous 09.15.2014 04:51 PM

By the way I'm just trash talking, I wish the texans well and hope they can bounce back to at least losing in the playoffs ;)

Rob Instigator 09.15.2014 04:54 PM

I just want to compete with the Coltys for division

SuchFriendsAreDangerous 09.15.2014 04:56 PM

Ive been trying to explain to !@$&#! that shitting on rivals is why divisional sports are so much more fun than boringly predictable table systems. Divisional opponents make even losing seasons worthwhile

Rob Instigator 09.15.2014 05:03 PM

I still hate the Cleveland Browns, Cincinatti bengals, and have a love/hate for the Pittsburgh Steelers, because of all the years of rooting for the Houston Oilers when we were stuck in the same division as them. I loved/hated the Steelers because while I wanted them to lose I respect the way they play football, same with Ravens and the Seahawks. Texans DEF will be hopefully that awesome one day.

SuchFriendsAreDangerous 09.15.2014 05:33 PM

Glad to hear you respect Ravens football. I also respect the way the Texans have played the past few years (last season aside) and sincerely hope they can bounce back. As to Steelers, I hate those bastards but I respect them. Bengals, my Favens have spent too many years beating up on them to feel anything but sorry for them. This is especially true of the Cleveland Browns

Texans (2-0) and Indy (0-2) is a nice start. Texans go coast to coast playing at New York this weekend. Facing an 0-2 team at their place can be a difficult win.

SuchFriendsAreDangerous 09.18.2014 09:06 PM

35-0 falcons lead?? So the Bucs probably wish the game could end at halftime ;)

SuchFriendsAreDangerous 09.19.2014 12:34 AM

56-0 at end of 3rd? Devin Hester broke Neon Deion's special teams TD record earning sanders tweet "#bestever"?? Matty Ice posted a near perfect passer rating? Roddy White didn't even play? Bitch ass rival Saints are 0-2??? Shit I couldnnt believe a game could beat that Ravens Steelers beatdown last week but HOT DAMN HOTLANTA

There's really nothing the NFL (or about any sport in the world) can teach football when it comes to intense rivalries. Some of them are so intense that leagues have tried to ban them because fans have literally been killed as a result. What's the most intense thing (from a rivalry pov) you'll find at a Bears-Packers game, compared with one between say Lazio and Roma or Galatasaray and Fenerbahce or River Plate and Boca Juniors? NFL rivalries might be fun but football ones are a bit more than that. You do have the better cheerleaders though, I'll give you that.

Rob Instigator 09.19.2014 08:49 AM

I prefer my rivalries between the teams that play and not the fans who support the teams. Like, Baltimore Maryland and Pittsburgh Pennsylvania do not hate each other as cities, but the two teams? OH MAN do they play INTENSELY when they face each other. to me that is a rivalry. both teams getting extra motivation from beating a hated, BUT RESPECTED, opponent.

SuchFriendsAreDangerous 09.19.2014 12:36 PM

Exactly. Ravens steelers is the best rivalry in sports! Redskins Giants Cowboys Eagles.is.just one big rivalry. Saints and falcons been beefing since 1968! EUROfutbol rivalries arent as extensive and truly meaningful. Cowgirls been o'clocked outof playoff contention in the final game of season four.consecutive years.now. packers only.made playoffs because the bears shit the bed. Patriots Dolphins has been.a fun rivalry.. seahawks niners is becoming the new ravens steelers. And as rob mentioned, the fans and cities.dont have beef, its just about football (well accept for the annual.niners raiders.stabbing during the preseason!).. when ravens fans go to games in Pittsburgh the rivalry is about th.game itself, not the fans..

SuchFriendsAreDangerous 09.19.2014 12:39 PM

To answer your Question about packers bears is those teams play each other twice q season EVERY year SINCE THE 1940s and EVERY year just ONE of those games determines who makes the playoffs and who goes home. that is a true rivalry. Where jus single REGULAR season game has so much value!! Playoff rivalries are an entirely different animal

Rob Instigator 09.19.2014 01:00 PM

My "rival" is stu666 who has negrepped me three times for making fun of Thurston.... ;)

SuchFriendsAreDangerous 09.19.2014 01:26 PM

Did he really?? The perks of being a mod, when regular users neg rep it actually brings down their own rep points! More rivalry talk.. Raiders Broncos? Only raider fans remembered the Denvet Curse and were picking seattle in the superbowl when the rest of the, country, forgot completely that jon elway is,cursed and now he,cursed his own stink on peyton manning! Speaking of peyton how i could forget the oilers/texans vs colts rivalry!!

Rob Instigator 09.19.2014 01:43 PM

Back in da day the one Oiler rivalry that was really hatefilled and got very ugly on the field was the Oiler/Bengals. Sam Wyche hated Jerry Glanville (so did everyone except those coached by Jerry) and the entire city of Houston hated the Bengals coach.

SuchFriendsAreDangerous 09.19.2014 02:20 PM

I was gonna mention that ugly bengals oilers rivalry
