The Smiths - The sound of the Smiths (with headphones, the remastering for once seems to have improved the sound).

I bought this for three and a half euros the other day, but my computer won't play it, so I'm still left downloading it.

Sounds like a good idea! Go for it dude.

Sonic Youth 37 12.01.2008 08:49 PM

truth be known, I avoid listening to DDN, The Diamond Sea, and Is This It by the Strokes to prevent this from happening, but my will finally broke.

lots of hip hop (early 3 6 mafia, early 2pac, some others), more underground resistance tracks, then the congos-heart of the congos, then sun city girls-grotto of miracles

Al Burian and Dave Laney (who make up Challenger) were both from Milemarker I think.

However, the album that I posted has nothing to do with either of those acts, 'Challenger' is the name of an album by Burning Star Core.:)

Yes, both Al and Dave are Milemarker-ers. I love that band. They were amazing live (on the ANESTHETIC tour).

At any rate, I was still off because Challenger was the album. But y'know what? Maybe this will remind me to get some Challenger the band. haha.

I think the best Wu solo album is LIQUID SWORDS. It's just so solid, and feels more like a follow up to ENTER THE WU-TANG than FOREVER did. But ONLY BUILT is way the F up there. It's incredible. The pacing... the beats... the story arch... the conceptual continuity throughout... I could praise it all day.
