because i find myself talking about how embarassing/washed up they are a lot lately, which somehow equates to me getting nostalgic for stuff i listened to in junior high. which was the who. almost exclusively. uh.

They're not quite as good on CD as they are live, but whatever, I love Wilco.

well one thing is for sure that the Who will sound vastly superior to the Rolling Stones. After their SuperBowl performance I was sad to say I was a fan.

EVOLghost 02.03.2010 01:37 PM

I really like Jams Run Free off of Rather Ripped.

yeah, hopefully... i don't think i'll be watching this year. i always feel more embarrassed for the living half of the who than i ever will for any of the stones. i don't know why.

The third Last Electro album came out yesterday digitally as a surprise. Fucking awesome. Super spacey. Great.

It might be the ballsiest major label rap album I can think of. A lot of people are going to hate it. But I kind of think it's awesome in a crazy way.

batreleaser 02.03.2010 07:53 PM

guided by voices-alien lanes

downloading that meercaz lp right now, looking forward to that.

noisereductions 02.03.2010 08:11 PM

Alien Lanes is great.
It's so cliche but that, Bee Thousand, and Under The Bushes is incredible. But still. I love GBV, even when I don't want to. And I have way too much of their shiz.

automatic bzooty 02.03.2010 09:53 PM

The Earl Of Slander 02.04.2010 08:58 PM

I have mixed feelings about the album as a whole, but there are a few tracks (specifically Bye And Bye, Po' Boy and Sugar Boy) that I am OBSESSED with at the moment.

noisereductions 02.04.2010 09:05 PM

I don't think Love And Theft is as good as critics say it is. It's good but. Have you heard TIME OUT OF MIND?

No. I know that's a mistake though.

Oh hell yeah. Anyway who rips on this for being too 'easy' or whatever can just shut up. There are plenty of records where this quartet show you that they can punch a hole in your face, and this just happens to be the one where they show you that they can also step right back and subduedly break your heart. It completes his discography...
