From what album would you like to hear more songs done live?

I really wish they'd pick more up out of Washing Machine. All we get is "skip tracer" which is a really good song, but I'd like to hear others.Im not expecting them to pull out the epic "diamond sea" but I think they could do "becuz", "saucer-like", "no queen blues", "junkies promise" or "panty lies".

Maybe when its the 20 yr anniversary for WM it will be done completly live ala Daydream Nation.I can dream..........

Sheriff Rhys Chatham 07.30.2007 07:04 PM

yeah WM is a good one. cant really think of any other ones. Listening to evol now, I don't see marilyn moore on many set lists.

Danny Himself 07.30.2007 07:23 PM

Experimental Jet-Set. Stuff like Skink, Bone, and Sweet Shine.

Sheriff Rhys Chatham 07.30.2007 07:25 PM

starfield road is also quite nice.

Trasher02 07.30.2007 07:38 PM

Death to our friends is one I'd love to see live.
Or perhaps they should just do EVOL shows, that'll do too.

That record never got a full tour because Coco was born that year. I'd like to hear some of those tunes live again.

Yeah, I know. The only songs played on the following '95 Lollapalooza and REM tours were 'Starfield Road' and 'Bull In The Heather' and their ilk. A live video of 'Skink' exists but I'd rather experience it myself.

satirejohn 07.30.2007 08:24 PM

EVOL definitely! My favourite album, and I've never seen them play any of the songs. I'd especially love to see Starpower, Secret Girl, Tom Violence and of course Expressway...

drrrtyboots 07.30.2007 08:35 PM

Bad moon, for the love of god.

val-holla-ing 07.30.2007 08:57 PM

washing machine, goo, and sister. sure songs from sister and goo get played, but they always choose the really obvious ones.

not true. I have a bootleg from 9-11-95 and they do a live version of "in the mind of the bourgeouis reader". Also Ive seen boots from that era that also have "waist" and "bone"

atsonicpark 07.30.2007 09:57 PM

they really should not do anything after evol.

Everyneurotic 07.30.2007 10:03 PM

they should do hits of sunshine.

haha man, when I saw them, i saw Lee take out the acoustic... and TOTALLY overlooked that Or was an acoustic jam, and also that it most definitely not the Ghost Bitch feedback acoustic, and automatically was like, "HOLY FUCK! GHOST BITCH!" Then I thought about how big of a retard I was.

drrrtyboots 07.30.2007 11:20 PM

It's understandable. At least, naturally, he didn't play it like a good ol' folk grandpa would have.

scott v 07.31.2007 10:36 AM

i'd say Daydream Nation!!!

def. bad moon rising minus death valley '69

Sheriff Rhys Chatham 07.31.2007 12:21 PM
