I wonder if chabib can limit registrations to individual IPs? (But seeing as I am a techie retard, I forget if most IPs are dynamic.) Is this really necessary, khchris-clone? I doubt I'll explain this properly, but here goes:
An IP address is a numerical address assigned to your computer/internet connection. It usually looks something like 68.56.124.80 (essentially, four numbers separated by periods), and it's individual to your computer. An IP address is also specific to region, so anyone who has your IP knows your general location. I can't remember though, if, when you reset your internet connection, you're assigned a new IP address. But if you aren't, theoretically, board administrators can log your IP and restrict your activity. |

Problem is, CHABIB has already said he doesn't want to moderate the board and, actually, finds the trolls "funny".
I wonder if he'd feel the same way if his name was being "trolled" and associated with "KKK" and "George Bush Lover". I would guess he wouldn't like it very much. People do the trolling because they're petty, immature, and unwilling to get over the past. Regardless if I ignore it or not, they will continue to post under "khchris". That's something I can't stop and can only be stopped by the person themselves. If they've kept it up for about 3-4 years, what makes you think they're just going to "let it go"? I didn't even respond to the troll, yet he's been posting anyways. Sorry, no can do. If I suffer, everyone else is going to either have to: a. ignore the troll and fight against it, do not condone troll behavior. b. deal with the posts warning of the troll. If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem. |

everyone on this forum is essentially an anonymous user with an assumed name with few exceptions. what happens here only really matters here and really doesn't matter at all. someone has the user name, "habibtheantiamericanbitch." do i give a fuck? do i ban them? no. it's sort of funny and relatively true anyhow. george bush and the KKK are both over. if someone associated you with walmart, you'd really have something to worry about. |

And anyone with an iota of intelligence realizes that responding to such bait only exacerbates the situation. What bothers me is illogical thinking/behavior in the face of ample evidence. i.e., stupidity pisses me off. There's no excuse for it. It's an unfortunate situation of modern society that an individual must be accountable for the stupidity of his/her peers. It seems to be a common belief that lack of preventative behavior on your part constitutes a contribution to the other person's idiocy.
