It's an amazing album, but I still think the best is Written in Waters by Ved Buens Ende (though it's more avant-garde metal than traditional black metal).

I listened to a really good 94 Pavement show I hadn't listened to yet. Really good stuff. They go through four or five songs before finally playing a CR, CR song.

The early version of Fight This Generation kills, and Hit The Plane Down doesn't suck, surprisingly. They encore with Newark Wilder and Fillmore Jive, both of which are excellent.
