Sonic Youth’s 1998 noise opus ‘Silver Sessions’ is back in print after a
lenghty absence. As Thurston describes in the liner notes: “(we) turned
every amp we owned on to 10+ and leaned as many guitars and basses we could
plug in against them and they roared/HOWLED like airplanes burning over the
pacific” This reissue comes in a handsome mylar reflective jacket.
‘Silver Sessions’ is available on disk and also for direct download from the
sonicyouth.com store. Also now available for download from the store are
some EP’s: the SYR series, TV Shit, & Master-Dik. All are available as
DRM-free lossless files. Look for some out-of-print ‘official’ bootlegs to
be available as downloads soon. More groovy stuff coming, we’ll keep you
updated.

I just picked this up on Discogs (my old copy was badly scratched). The new silver-like gatefold is nice but a total fingerprint magnet.

it's different glossy silver than the original CD was?

The original CD sleeve was also glossy? In my recollection it was plain grey (gray?).
