Why? They seem to be the appropriate questions, in my opinion. The rest is just extra detail.

the weight one seems a little off due to the fluctuation in weight a lot of people in this country (us) seem to experience...i'm about 20 lbs lighter than when i got my license.

!@#$%! 03.23.2007 01:52 AM

US cops can't breathtest for drink driving, can they? I always found that alittle behind the times considering the countries general development.

yes, they do. all the time.

SynthethicalY 03.23.2007 01:53 AM

!@#$%! 03.23.2007 01:54 AM

that doesn't bring about anything but trouble. you can refuse to allow them to search your person or your vehicle as well but you know how those fucking pigs are.

Why on Cops do they not use a fucking 'breathaliser' then? They always make them walk a straight line or do a dance.

cops is my favorite show. ever.
and i don't know. entertainment value i suppose.

SynthethicalY 03.23.2007 01:57 AM

It is just for the cameras, it is entertaining.

Norma J 03.23.2007 01:58 AM

I read or heard or even saw on Cops that they can't use a breathaliser. Whoever told me that was well ill-informed.

!@#$%! 03.23.2007 01:59 AM

that's true. you still can though. of course with consequences.

you can ask them why they want to search you though. not confrontationally, but a very polite (and oh so shocked!) "have i done something wrong?". usually that signals that you are neither a criminal nor a dumbfuck ignorant of your rights.

getting aggressive will get you instantly in shit though. the slightest menace in your voice will get you cuffed. oh ive been cuffed and let go and told to "have a nice evening" after i'm left go (surely so i don't press charges later).

SynthethicalY 03.23.2007 02:00 AM

I never drink, so it doesn't matter. You know they install breathilisers on some DUI people. If they are drunk they can't drive.

Norma J 03.23.2007 02:01 AM

Did you call the officer Sir at the end of every sentence like they do in Cops? "Sir, no that ain't ma weed or shotgun Sir". HAHA.
