That was Don Caballero II (the one with the 12-image grid on the cover), and the one before that, the green one with the alien-looking lights over the house, was What Burns Never Returns, also by Don Caballero.

In fact it has. Love me some Launderette. Think I listened to the compilation some time ago. :D

I wanna say ... a week ago? Haven't listened to much as of late unfortunately.

Right now.

Will give some of the early Loren Connors/Kath Bloom albums a spin one of these days. It's a folky kinda time of the year.

e-saggila - an enigmatic cult producer in electronics constructing soaring calm from dynamic turbulence as the era of domesticated destruction and creation arrives. conceived by iraqi-born, canadian sound artist rita mikhael, e-saggila has quickly established itself as an unapologetic presence in superseding divisionism in underground music. with prior crucial releases on northern electronics and bank records, the project quickly gained attention among the disparate factions of noise, breakcore, and infrastructure rising outside of the traditional european club superstructure.

Man, it’s so much easier just to list the title.
I’m usually on my phone when I pop in here, so that means saving the cover to my photo library, finding a reverse image search (because it no longer works on iOS with the Google search app), or using Google Lens, which means opening Google, selecting Google Lens, changing the settings to scan images from the photo library, selecting the album cover from my camera roll, and then searching. It also means Google access to my camera, which I’m not nuts about.

That’s a lot of steps when people could just type [artist - album] in their post.
Just sayin’.

Really? An Eels album? Does it sound like all the other Eels albums or is it somehow different?

Actually, it’s a Google issue. Lol. It worked for several months then abruptly stopped. I contacted Apple about it, copy/paste of images works in all other apps, but Google wants to force people to use Google lens on their mobile apps.

So, Apple’s fine, it’s more of a fuck Google thing

Yep, all new and all good. It's probably the best one in a while for me. Same playful joy mixed with melancholy. It tells the tale of E's failed marriage and child from the relationship. Well worth a listen.

Halfway through Sing The Children Over. Pure raw emotion. Perfect for a dreary November afternoon like this one. This is sublime.
