I had a spare ticket for the Bristol show last night... Would've given it to you for free!

Toilet & Bowels 05.26.2015 02:00 AM

Thanks but I'm too skint to get to Bristol (no money till payday).

How were the shows?

Fucking awesome! Kat's scream still rules. The Bristol crowd was great, last night's (Southampton) was a bit quiet and not as many people were there... All the band members were happy to talk with fans, get photos and sign stuff... I did record both shows so you can make yr own mind up!

They play London tonight but I already had a ticket for Julie Ruin and the Babes gig is sold out... I'd love to see them one more time!

EDIT: It appears not to be sold out tonight after all...

Toilet & Bowels 05.26.2015 02:50 PM

Cool, thanks I'd really like to hear those. Did they play Dustcake Boy?

Peterpuff 05.26.2015 06:15 PM

Is this your review, Stu?

Either way, nice to see a praising paragraph for Skating Polly. They have been an awesome local treat here in OKC for several years now. Expecting great things from those gals!

It's not my review, no. I pretty much agree with everything he said though. Skating Polly were great!

I've gotta say. You have pretty much made my day.

Seeing this quote on a SY Forum about a gig SP did across the pond opening for Babes In Toyland...just seriously surreal. Quite joy inducing!

They had Babes In Toyland listed as a "sounds like" inspiration of theirs on their old website for the longest time. They really are taking off nicely, imo.

Not to just totally gush on them though. I am also very jealous of the Babes In Toylands shows. I bet they were amazing.

Super excited to bring my 11 year old nephew to this, will be his first rock show. I've been waiting for his school vacation/summer travel schedule to line up with a Dick Dale show at an all ages venue, and this is it!

Saw Nokie Edwards some years ago. Really like to see Dale also! Well, I am going to bring my 11 year old son to see Alice Cooper (also his first rock festival, hope Alice´s got giljotin with him).

As excellent as always. Don't have the new record and probably won't get it, I really enjoy them live but their records don't really grab me as much
