Currently I'm listening to what I can't help but feel is just a slacker ass version of Smart Bar. See below:
I don't think it's bad, because its Dinosaur Jr playing their best material. But after Smart Bar, this really feels like a bit of an insult to that whole "for fans only" group who will buy anything you try to sell them and love it. Smart Bar has, from what I've seen, won over even the cynics. This just kinda sounds like crap. Especially since it comes from such a notoriously outrageous live era. It would be a badass find as a bootleg, but I'm not sure it warrants an official release, and it seems like a waste of great cover art that could have been used on some Dino anthology or box. I'm not ripping it, necessarily, but I can't get too excited about it. Anyone have any thoughts? |
Not that I can imagine it not sounding like crap and stl being authentic.

my thoughts are everyone who's heard it agrees w you so I'm not even interested. :\ Smart Bar rulez though. New high water mark for live albums. |

Yeah I see that. I don't want to write it off too quickly, because, let's face it, Smart Bar probably sounds like crap to most of the human beings in the world. So I'm gonna let it play out and see if I don't develop a soft spot for it. BBC sessions grew on me eventually, so maybe this will too. |

word, but let's be honest... a live ALBUM and a bootleg def sound diff most the time. You know what I mean? If it sounds like it didn't deserve to be an album for $$$ then that kinda sucks. |
|
I forgot how awesome this album is. Maybe the best thing Radiohead has done, in my opinion. |
you can't see which radiohead album reminded you how awesome it is.
|
Well apparently you can't see it. Maybe only special people can see it. Anyways, it's The King of Limbs.
|
I wasn't being sarcastic. I can't see the album sleeve.
|
Ah well I apologize if I was snippy. I was using Rate Your Music's album art link. I guess I'll just be typing from now on.
|
no worries. I think all radiohead albums are shit anyway. goodnight.
