Merzbow 1930.

I think it's my favorite record and group incarnation by them. They were so great when Meghan Burke was with them. I still haven't heard any Crystallized Movement stuff. |
Cool to see the Undermind mentioned here. Great people. We were once labelmates and we went on tour together in 1999. I agree they are in a great phase these days.
|
Lately they often perform as power trio, which is ok but i prefer them as a quartet with Vanessa, She adds so much depth to their musics.
Yeah, great people indeed. I had the honor to play some impro sets with eric this summer - he totally killed me. |

Nice! Great stuff from erstwhile Miminokoto/former Overhang Party member. I am really excited to be playing a show with him in December. |
Was worth buying for the title track, everything else is a bit inconsistent

the Traveler by Trey Anastasio.
I didn't even know it existed until yesterday, and I bought it without a thought. It's good. Even though it's full of borrowed riffs, covers, and re-recordings of songs by... Trey Anastasio. Ever since Shine taught me the valuable lesson that doing lots of drugs has no bearing on the impulse lead singers have of making incredibly boring music, I am grateful for any non-awful thing he does. The cover of Clint Eastwood is surprisingly tolerable. My day also featured JJDOOM and Pinback's new album. |
