I've been listening to those two lately, too. Fucking awesome. I definitely prefer Junkyard, though.

atsonicpark 01.10.2009 08:10 PM

Junkyard is one of the best albums ever.

I think half of Prayers is as amazing as Junkyard (Nick the Stripper, King Ink, Yard), but the other half is just good (Zoo-Music Girl, Ho-Ho, A Dead Song). It's still a great album, but I find myself skipping songs on it.

ZEROpumpkins 01.10.2009 08:51 PM

Sweet, that looks pretty interesting.

Sonic Youth 37 01.10.2009 08:52 PM

It's actually my first time listening to it and sounds very little like the 3 albums that followed it.

Jemina Pearl: "I'm a pretty picky music person. Like, "I hate that, I hate that, I hate that." And once you get to know people and you listen to it, you understand that you made too quick of a judgment on someone. That happens constantly for me. I'll be like, "Oh, that band sucks," and then you meet them and feel like a really big asshole. You're like, "Oh, those people are really awesome and really nice!" I totally have to put my foot in my mouth. It's a lesson I've learned over and over again touring. You shouldn't judge bands."

Tsk tsk. :p

I agree. In all honesty, I do understand why people don't like their music. But I love it, and they're extremely cool people. Just fun in general, to watch and to meet. I always had a great time at their shows, whether it was at a sweaty garage-esque riot room, or a concert hall.

Now,

That's it. For every band you dis, I am going to pretend to hate Mesh Gear Fox for a day.

That's one less fan you have for two whole days.

And you won't even know which days they are...

ZEROpumpkins 01.10.2009 10:11 PM

I said fail because it says bandwidth exceeded. I have no idea what it actually is :p

acousticrock87 01.10.2009 10:50 PM

Oh haha. I can still see it.

It's supposed to be Sunn O))) - Black One.

Sonic Youth 37 01.10.2009 10:53 PM

acousticrock87 01.10.2009 10:57 PM

Nice!

Sonic Youth 37 01.10.2009 10:58 PM

Indeed, very. I debating between that or Fragile, and this always wins.

acousticrock87 01.10.2009 11:01 PM

I love The Fragile, too, but it has too many so-so songs that I always skip. PHM is flawless.

gohleekwang 01.10.2009 11:55 PM

Fennesz - Black Sea

ZEROpumpkins 01.11.2009 12:02 AM

I'd say Fragile is probably my favourite NIN release. Maybe TDS as well. PHM I'm not too keen on, save the first two tracks.

Precisely, I think I'm going to liquefy my brains by listening to the Los Crudos, Charles Bronson and Limp Wrist discographys in a row.

ZEROpumpkins 01.11.2009 12:16 AM

Limp wrist, lol.
