What exactly do you need cleaning?

HaydenAsche 08.27.2006 08:32 PM

Upload it here. I'll do it for you.

Sheriff Rhys Chatham 08.27.2006 08:35 PM

uploading it now, its WAV so it wil be about 40 min.
When he recorded the track a lot of background fuzz and tape hiss got on the track plus you can just tell it was recorded too well. Im not sure if it can be fixed but I'll still upload it.

HaydenAsche 08.27.2006 08:42 PM

I can make it sound a little bit better unless it is really bad.

porkmarras 08.27.2006 08:45 PM

What software do you use Hayden?

HaydenAsche 08.27.2006 08:48 PM

I usually just use Audacity for recording and I do make some damn good recordings with a cheap ass computer mic and a shitty free program. I'm damn good at editing. I also have some Adobe programs and stuff I could use if this is really bad. Audacity is so simple. I love it.

Sheriff Rhys Chatham 08.27.2006 08:50 PM

I myslef use audacity, but I think I might have passed it's limitations.

porkmarras 08.27.2006 08:53 PM

I have Audacity but i normally get best results with Sound Forge. This could be because i've used it for some time now and i can get the results i want in a shorter amount of time.

HaydenAsche 08.27.2006 08:56 PM

I can make a track recorded on a computer mic sound like something done from a direct line in Audacity in under 5 minutes. I've been using it for ages. I've never used Sound Forge.

porkmarras 08.27.2006 08:58 PM

Same here.It takes practice but once you get a taste for it..........

HaydenAsche 08.27.2006 08:58 PM

Is Sound Forge free?

Sheriff Rhys Chatham 08.27.2006 08:59 PM

15 more minutes.

porkmarras 08.27.2006 09:00 PM

No but the first version that i've had was given to me by my friend's dad.Don't worry he didn't want anything in return.

porkmarras 08.27.2006 09:01 PM

How long is the actual track?

porkmarras 08.27.2006 09:12 PM

I've been thinking for some time about a thread where the more creative contingent of the forum gets to ruin each other's music and puts it out on a compilation album. How's that for an idea?I've tried something similar on the other forum but all i got was a 2 second bassline from some guy and i've never done anything with it.

Sheriff Rhys Chatham 08.27.2006 09:16 PM

hmm. Maybe.
Well heres the track, and thanks again.
