SY tribute band playing in Melbourne, Australia
 

I know there probably aren't too many people in Melbourne reading this, but if you are, or happen to know anyone who lives there you might want to point them in this direction.
A Sonic Youth tribute band is playing two nights at the John Curtin Hotel on November 28 and 29, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Daydream Nation, and also because it's about time.

Sounds heavy...any videos?

I was at the first night (missed the second because I was seeing gardland and fis), and becuz was indeed really fucking heavy. the improvised sections sounded uncannily similar to the record itself, which was well kool. overall a really good night, although I'm pissed I missed golden blue.
