Cool! I'll be waiting for that PM, then.

Meanwhile, Low performed an in-studio session earlier today (March 31st, 2013) for The Current, which consisted of "Plastic Cup", "Holy Ghost", and "On My Own", with the usual line-up of lately (Alan, Mimi, and Steve) this time augmented by two members of Tramped By Turtles:

The Current will also broadcast a recording of Low's recent performance at The Fitzgerald Theater from March 23rd, 2013; this next Wednesday, April 3rd, at 9:00 PM. Low were joined by Tramped By Turtles in this specific show, too:

Fucking exciting news: Phillip Harder's "Low Movie - How To Quit Smoking" will be premiered at this year's edition of Minneapolis/Saint Paul Film Festival. An intimate set by the band will follow. More info, and an awesome trailer for the film is below:

Low performed a live in-studio session at WFUV's Words And Music at Studio A, on March 19th, 2013. Set-list consisted of "Plastic Cup", "Holy Ghost", and "Clarence White". Nice interview, too. Audio and youtube videos at the link below:

it was mentioned some time ago that there was a movie of which Low provided the soundtrack, but back then there was only a trailer. Full movie (10 minutes I guess) can now be seen at http://asongofpraise.nl
And you can also buy a limited edition DVD, but I find 15 Euro a bit expensive for such a short movie. There's also something else that can be bought for 5 Euro, I have no clue what it is though. Even for a Dutch speaker this site leaves me clueless. And I haven't found an option for English language.
You can see the movie at chapter 2.1 and order the DVD at chapter 2.2.II

happy hunting!

:)

Jeroen van der Poel's work is great, and I shall get this DVD soon regardless of the cost. He also runs Amsterdam Acoustics, which provides documentation of artists performing acoustically in an intimate setting with Amsterdam as a cinematographic background. Here's Alan Sparhawk performing "Amazing Grace":

By the way, _tunic_, do you know someone who might be able to capture Low's KEXP session tomorrow in lossless format? O'B has told me he will try, but there are many chances he won't pull it off. I don't have the means to do it myself, or even the time. Gotta work tomorrow, so I will miss the broadcast. Would love a copy, though. Maybe someone from the Chairkickers list might be able to capture the lossless stream? Thanks so much if you can spread the word, and find a helpful hand.

sorry, I only read this just now, so it's too late to spread the word further...

Ah. Quite bummed there's no lossless capture. Low in .mp3 format only, is a lot better than many other things in this world, though. Maybe KEXP would upload a video of the whole performance to youtube at some point, too. Thanks so much for those links. I wonder if anyone from the Chairkickers list managed to rip those recordings hosted at the Current's website. I tried to, but neither Streamtransport nor Firefox's Downloadhelper could do it.

did you hear this cover already? I saw it linked on Low's twitter. It's the first track of this compilation:
http://hellcomeshome.bandcamp.com/al...lume-1-box-set
Haven't listened to the rest of that album, it's probably not that good. The intro to track 22 cracked me up though.

And video's of Low's recent KEXP session were posted at
http://blog.kexp.org/2013/05/07/live-video-low-2/

Guess what I'll be seeing tonight, and tomorrow too :D
