Any musicians on this forum interested in playing a festival next August?

A friend of mine is organizing one which will take place at Braziers Park in Oxfordshire this August. If any bands/musicians would like to take part, email me at: porkmarras@yahoo.co.uk, and I'll put you in touch with him.
I am very likely to be playing in one form or another.
Expenses and accomodation provided. I will have more info and links in the next few days. So far Faust have said yes.

Genteel Death 03.04.2010 12:58 PM

If you are interested, please also send a link to your music.

SYRFox 03.04.2010 01:06 PM

When is the deadline? (I know this might feel strange)

Genteel Death 03.04.2010 01:08 PM

I'll find out tomorrow.

Genteel Death 03.04.2010 04:43 PM

FAUST (who are to Krautrock what Monet was to Impressionism) will be playing at SUPERNORMAL

SUPERNORMAL Braziers International Artists Workshop 2010

August 8th 25th

In a departure from its usual structure, BIAW 2010 will focus on
organising a 2 day extravaganza open to the public on 21st and 22nd
August 2010.

We present SUPERNORMAL
- a non-commercial festival investigating the power of arts
practice to reshape and reinvigorate the public sphere through
collective action. A hand-picked line-up of exciting artists and
performers will appear on the festival weekend hosted by the 16 artists who have been selected to work with the co-ordinators over the previous 14 days creating a brilliant fusion of art, music, film, conversation and fun.

We are calling for artists who, conscious of the social, economic,
environmental and cultural challenges we face in the 21st century, are
open to working together in a sustainable and inclusive way to explore
arts practice in the context of the public realm.

Full application details with a downloadable
application form will be posted on the site by the end
of February 2010.

Genteel Death 03.04.2010 05:14 PM

Fair enough.
To those who emailed or replied: i'm seeing keran tomorrow, so I can individually reply with what the deal is and personal contact info for him.

batreleaser 03.04.2010 05:14 PM

Genteel Death 03.05.2010 12:00 AM

Yes. Is there an email address where you guys can be contacted other than myspace?

Genteel Death 03.09.2010 03:20 PM

Glice, are you in touch with Keran?

No sir. But I did join that group thingy, and I should have some recordings as of Tuesday, so I was going to do it then.

Genteel Death 03.09.2010 05:30 PM

Cool.

Glice 03.09.2010 05:54 PM

Oh, incidentally - if you put your full e-mail address in this thread, it can be scavenged by spammers, and if your password isn't safe, it'll easily get brute-hacked. I'd recommend editing it to: name [at] domain [dot] co [dot] etc.

If you can make it over, I'm sure I could find something for you to do. Dance, painting, looking beautiful - something like that.

Thanks for your email charlie. Your band is excellent, and I hope the gig with White Hills went well. So far The A Band seem comfirmed. Any others been in touch with Keran?

Florya 03.12.2010 03:39 AM

Already spoken with Gabriele and Keran about this.
Hopefully, Listening Mirror will be there.

shabbray2.0 03.12.2010 06:12 AM

just checkd on the SUPERNORMAL facebook page, and it seems like VVSR are confirmed, since they appear on it. Will contact Fuck Knuckles and see if they're up for playing.

Yeah, our guitarist found the facebook page and I was a bit surprised as I didn't send the demo yet, will do so tomorrow. I'll send you one too if you PM me your address.

Florya 04.26.2010 08:35 AM

I'm beginning to have misgivings - all the other acts seem to be guitar based, rock and roll type stuff wearing pantomime or halloween fancy dress.
What will they make of just me and my laptop, playing ambient electronica?
