I'm an old man. IDGAF.

I just hope you don't NOT listen to the song because you're old and don't give a fuck.

It's a good song. I mean... of course it's good. But it fits with TLOP pretty well, though the production and vocal mix have more of an MBDTF-like sound.
Just call it a bonus track. Or don't. Do whatever.

now see THAT is what has RUINED music, especially rap. people don't make records, they make singles and put them all together. there is rarely a sense of cohesion, purpose, order, and sonic "vision". its all just about tracks. this is why good artists need to do what Prince did and release their records as one continous track.

SuchFriendsAreDangerous 06.15.2016 10:54 PM

personally what kanye is doing i though is a shameless publicity stunt. there is already a traditional record release format for what he wants to do, b-sides and maxi-singles. indeed i always particularly love gabbing these and EPs so if kanye wanted to continually release alt versions he should just release the "studio" version and then if he wants to change it up drop some maxi-singles like Nirvana

noisereductions 06.15.2016 11:25 PM

If it ends up on the spotify album then i will hear it. Or on cd.

Already did.

It's no D'angelo, but it's pretty damn good.

If you ask me, Max was never D'Angelo.. I know they get compared a lot, but they really shouldn't.

Severian 06.17.2016 09:00 AM

^ no, you're right, I don't think they sound anything alike really. They're compared because they're both one-word named '90s soul singers known for their "sexiness." Though neither is a simple sex-soul dude — certainly not D.

I was just typing. Never mind me.

Uhh... The Game just came out with a new album.

Did anyone know about this?

It's called Streets of Compton. I haven't listened to or read a word about it, so maybe it's a compilation or mixtape or something else that would help explain the completely out of nowhere nature of the release. Eh?

Shrug.

noisereductions 06.17.2016 04:19 PM

yeah I knew about that Game album. I guess it's sort of a stopgap release meant to serve as a soundtrack to his TV show that I've never seen?

I plan to listen on Spotify, along w/ the new YG which also dropped today.

noisereductions 06.17.2016 05:14 PM

damn this Game track is a banger. That beat!

New Wyclef single.. surprisingly modern (sounds like his own take on the current popular sound in hip-hop.. Future, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Ty Dolla $ign came to mind when I heard the track) and really dope: http://www.rollingstone.com/music/ne...ndrix-20160616

SuchFriendsAreDangerous 06.17.2016 05:35 PM

just got that new game. its hot.

full album

noisereductions 06.17.2016 06:12 PM

Listened to a few Game and YG tracks so far and both seem pretty damn good.

Severian 06.17.2016 06:44 PM

New Danny Brown single is out. It's a bit *much* but it's ok.

I'm bored by stuff today.

Severian 06.17.2016 11:40 PM

Hey Louder, care to share your thoughts on this?

Kanye West - "Saint Pablo" (YouTube)

NR - you can listen too. It's free. And Apple Music isn't even including it as a TLOP track. They show the artwork of TLOP when the song plays, but they're still showing the album ending with "Fade."

Severian 06.19.2016 09:49 PM

I like the new Schoolboy Q joint, "That Part" ft. Ye. I haven't really responded to a Schoolboy song since Hahits & Contradictions, but I like this one. It's weird.

Listened to a few of the tracks from Streets of Compton. Not bad. Say what you will about the Game, but that motherfucker really pumps out albums. When he makes a misstep, he corrects it 8 months later.
