it was $18 at the local "indie' record store. i also bought weapons of ass destruction on vinyl and some bootleg cd from 03 called "Eric's Trip to Philadelphia"

uhler 05.12.2008 11:03 PM

that's all i have on vinyl, but i have a pretty big sonic youth cd collection (23 i think), so that's why i don't buy any vinyl except for the syr releases. i don't really like buying singles or anything unless i randomly find it for cheap. i just need syr 5 to complete the vinyl collection. oh yeah, i have trees outside of the academy on vinyl also and the mirror dash 7 inch.

pbradley 05.13.2008 12:33 AM

All I have is EVOL.

All I need is EVOL.

This Is Not Here 05.14.2008 01:19 PM

Arrived Today:

Free Kitten's Punks Sueing Punks EP 7"

great record, though very short, not sure it justifies an 'EP'

It certainly is great fun, the B side Coco's Theme is the better of the three tracks. The sleeve also has a big picture of Kim hugging Snoopy on the back which caused an 'awwwwwww' moment.

So you buy records not to listen to them but because they're valuable items?

Yes and no. I have another well-worn copy on vinyl, and two copies on CD. I bought the unopened record as a collector's piece in 2005, but the other copies I've owned since the early 90's.

a-p a. niemi 05.11.2010 05:23 AM

Shitty picture of my collection, or most of it at least.

I also have few t-shirts and posters (Sensational Fix Malmö, Starpower and few others, I think).

Mortte Jousimo 05.14.2010 11:30 AM

musicplatypus 05.19.2010 05:04 PM

Every time I think of it, I get all giggly and butterflies swim through my stomach . . .

Noise Fest Cassette.

I listened to it once years ago, and only once, for I fear my tape player shall eat it. Oh! if I could hear it again!

CHOUT 05.19.2010 05:58 PM

I have a few things in the mail...I'm gonna take an updated pic soon.

EVOLghost 05.19.2010 09:03 PM

I'm a vinyl nub. My first sy buy was the destroyed room. I also bought evol and cis/kyi on record store day.

Mortte Jousimo 05.24.2010 08:47 AM

Now I also have "Helen Lundeberg/Eyeliner" 7 "(it came last week). I´m so happy (there came also "Teenage Riot"-sticker)!

CHOUT 06.17.2010 12:12 PM

This is the last 2 weeks of ebay scores...trying to fill in records I may have another format or version of or a different label. I'm going to have to update my definitive sy vinyl collection pic very soon. (sst versions of s/t & cis, yaf 12", original pressings of the ciccone 12" single and album, whitey album promo, superstar split with redd kross and sunday 7").

this is my old definitive pic...about 5 years old...

CHOUT 06.17.2010 03:46 PM

Definitely a good place to pick up some icp.

Dr. Eugene Felikson 06.17.2010 04:47 PM

You'd be surprised at all that they offer, I rarely ever have to pursue elsewhere for music.

CHOUT 10.17.2010 01:11 PM

I like this thread...here's what I just got:
Neutral Press:

and a fitting score for the season:

Jt 10.23.2010 10:59 PM

Hahaha... this thread is still going?! Jesus.

I suppose you don't need photos of this but I just a scored an original, numbered and near-mint copy of Walls Have Ears. Before I tell you what I paid, what do you reckon would be a fair price?

radarmaker 10.24.2010 12:13 PM

£50 or thereabouts. It varies quite a lot though.
Is the number on yours printed or handwritten?

Jt 10.24.2010 04:09 PM

Ah well, I paid £60 for mine so I guess that's not too atrocious. My copy has a printed number, the artwork sleeves and the full-colour vinyl labels. I don't know if that changes things but it looks like the first pressing to me.

radarmaker 10.24.2010 05:50 PM

Yeah, that sounds like an original. I've seen a couple that have a hand-written number, but suspect those are from the blank second-pressing with the number added at some later point.
Prices do vary wildly for Walls - I paid £25 for an original 2-3 years back, but Popsike lists copies selling for as much as $380(!).
It's a fucking blinding album no matter what it cost :)
