Everyneurotic 09.18.2007 11:09 AM

oh no, the one i'm thinking about is across the street, ss.

and, come to think of it, it's not a diner, it's a deli (big difference, huh?), it's like a block away towards central park from the m&ms store, right on the corner.

sonicl 09.19.2007 03:03 AM

Try Other Music for your Thurston ticket.

I've no idea if they'll "hold" tickets if you ring and ask them, but it could be worth a try. It'll give you an excuse to go there and browse too.

I'd recommend just checking a show at The Stone at random, you may not embrace it but it will certainly be interesting. Of the shows you listed I 've seen these performers; Rothenberg and Courvoiseier would probably be the more traditional sound, but she's quite vigourous in her playing. I saw Hirsch with Lee once and she's just plain weird!

Hang out with Lemmy Caution!

drrrtyboots 09.19.2007 06:58 PM

T Moore at Maxwell's for sure.

!@#$%! 09.27.2007 08:51 PM

thanks to all who posted, turns out work got suppa-tough and we had little time to hang out-- we accomplished 2 things only in the realm of "fun":

1) arrive late to the knitting factory to see circle, miss oneida completely, and catch only 2 songs plus th encore of circle's set.

2) eat kebab & that place in macdougal street-- truly awesome, especially after some drinkies.

the rest was work & sweat & junk food & little sleep. but it was like a vacation, exciting to work in new york, and the 6-day workout was great.

Everyneurotic 09.27.2007 08:58 PM

circle and kebab, what more can you ask for?
