merzbow-pornoise volume 1

the pornoise series is without question some of my absolute most favorite merzbow shit. i own 57 of his records, and when it comes down to it, a lot of his records have filler. the pornoise series is all fucking amazing though. simultaneously some of the harshest and most diverse music hes ever put out. i love the sampled fucked up sex moans that are played throughout. i really gotta see the porn flicks that accompanied this, not sure if id be able to wank to stuff this demented though.

just finished los llamarada-sound like trains. damn this band is fucking good, fuckin siltbreeze man, it doesnt matter where the band comes from; us, new zealund, uk, mexico, etc.. if youre making amazing lo fi garage music they will find you and release your shit. theyve re-established themselves as the best avant rock label around with these guys, pink reason, eat skull, psychedelic horseshit, ex cocaine, etc..

now its coachwhips-double death. ive been listening to this record more frequently than any other lately. its just a double record of un-released stuff, and its the coachwhips at thier most noisey/lo fi garage punk. it makes 'bangers vs. fuckers' sound like it was produced by rick rubin. tons of great tracks, and some epic covers of adam and the ants, the kinks, the velvet underground, and others.

im listening to all my magma vinyl; udu wudu, mekanik destructive komandoh, and K.A.

i know thats not a lot, but i feel extraordinarily lucky to own these. magma is real hard to find for decent prices in the states, and i gota killer deal on these on ebay. i only own two others cds by them, and then all their stuff, and vander's stuff, downloaded.

a small segment of thought concerning magma;
i have to nominate magma for the most innovative, and maybe just straight up craziest band of all time. its simultaneously avant garde and strange, but sort of in a wagnerian manner, very grandiose. and theyre still a rock band, and they still rock. they kind of have a religioisity about them, like they induce worship among thier listeners, their music is undeniably powerful. there literally is NOTHING that sounds like it. some people call it "prog rock", but thats just because you cant classify these guys as anything, and prog works cuz those duded are generally just extremly gifted rock bands, which magma is. but you never get thes sense that magma is wanking like other prog bands. even when theyre spitting out big band jazz simultaneously with operatic chorus sections and chanted backing vocals. fuck, such an amazing band.
