YEAAAAAAAAAAH! FUCK YEAH!

i should really be studying for exams, but fuck it. i'm too busy dancing around - errrrr, not like david byrne, not so much - and internetting and slacking off.

Sonic Youth 37 06.11.2009 09:23 PM

The only appropriate song to dance to is Train In Vain by the Clash.

automatic bzooty 06.11.2009 09:32 PM

Pretty much all of London Calling is more than appropriate to dance to.

I'm listening to Eliminator Jr. Shit yeah.

Sonic Youth 37 06.11.2009 09:38 PM

This is true. My previous statement was a conclusion that a friend and I came to early one morning.

what do you think so far Melly?

MellySingsDoom 06.12.2009 10:42 AM

Am liking it - have just finished listening to "Anntenna" - it has a great collective group sound, and the songs are good and solid. It sounds pretty damn great on vinyl too.

SYR2. Part of my epic Sonic Youth discography re-listen (including b-sides!), ahead of seeing them June 30th. So, so good.

Talk about old school. That was my favorite album like 12 years ago.

Few bands crash and burn as suddenly and pathetically as they did.

EDIT: Re: AFI, not Crystal Castles, obviously.

Sonic Youth 37 06.12.2009 09:55 PM

I'd written them off totally because of Decemberunderground until last fall, but then a friend got me into their earlier stuff and it's unfuckwitable.

Levitate Me 06.12.2009 09:57 PM

It's pretty dope. Answer That through to Shut Your Mouth are still pretty solid, then things started to go a bit downhill with Black Sails, and I can't stomach anything after that.

Sonic Youth 37 06.12.2009 10:00 PM

The music did really start to change once they got more into the darker stuff (I was going to say when they started to think that they were the Misfits, but they covered Misfits songs from way back), Art of Drowning was the first big 'wtf' for me because Black Sails still has enough hardcore going on.
